Salvador Injury, Possible Cap Cuts could open doors for Devils youth

Sorry I failed to mention this in the previous post, but with the salary cap cuts approaching, it will definitely give players like Alexander Urbom, Mattias Tedenby and Matt Taormina along with Jacob Josefson a chance to make the team and its very likely that all of them will make it. Matt Corrente feels he has played strong enough to remain with the big club. Adam Mair is probably well on his way to making it, but will have to wait for the Devils to make some moves before signing a contract. This is also due to the Bryce Salvador injury.

While there is no word on who might get dealt, the asking price is not going to be high and will likely be a prospect currently playing in Junior and a mid-round draft pick anywhere from rounds 2-5. Based on how things are going so far, the projected line-up could be something like this:

Parise Zajac Kovalchuk
Elias Arnott Langenbrunner
Rolston Josefson Tedenby
Pelley Mair Clarkson
Extras: LeBlond, Palmieri

Greene Volchenkov
Urbom Tallinder
White Corrente
Extras; Fraser, Taormina
(Salvador, IR), but likely will be traded once he returns.

Notes: Its seems very likely Zubrus will be dealt as a salary cap cut.
