As most of you noticed this past weekend that News Corp has pulled the Fox signal from Cablevision customer. The sides are currently trying to negotiate a fair pact, but News Corp, the company that owns Fox is not budging by a single cent. The feud already cost Cablevision's 3 million cutomers Games 1 & 2 of the NLCS between the Giants and Phillies and the NFL's Giants-Lions and Cowboys-Vikings game. News Corp is demanding about $170 Million from Cablevision, more than double than what Cablevision is asking.
Fox will broadcast the World Series and Super Bowl this year and unless a resolution is not reached by October 27th, the first game of the World Series, Cablevision customers will be left in the dark. Even though News Corp rejected Cablevision's offer to go to binding arbitration, it seems very unlikely that the feud will drag on for much longer no matter how far apart they are. So, its likely that News Corp will restore Fox sometime this week or maybe even tonight just in time for a new episode of House and Lie To Me.
