Now that the NHL Season is officially a week old, here are some things I have officially noticed:
-Jordan Eberle will be a potential Calder Trophy nominee and it will be a very tight race this season between him, P.K. Subban, Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin and Magnus Pajarvii.
-The Leafs at the moment could be showing overconfidence, but I think they will battle for the 8th playoff seed.
-The Penguins will eventually get used to their new arena Consol Energy Center and win games there, but I think they are still Igloo Sick.
-The Blackhawks definitely have a cup hangover much like Pittsburgh did last season.
-The Red Wings will be a contender this season as they usually are.
-Steven Stamkos will is on pace to be a Hart Trophy nominee, but let's not get too overconfident there.
-Lightning have picked the right coach in Guy Boucher and he will be a Jack Adams Candidate for coach of the year. They will make the playoffs.
-Dallas is off to hot start.
-Carolina will also battle for the 8th playoff spot this year.
-Finally, St. Louis will also battle for a playoff spot.
Notes: This is only week one, so like I mentioned above, let's not get too overconfident.
