Parise has lower body injury, to be examined by team doctors on Monday, (Injury happened in August)

Zach Parise today told reporters he has a lower body injury and flew back to New Jersey with GM Lou Lamoriello after the game last night on a commercial flight. But here is is the shocking part, the injury actually occurred back in August while training for the upcoming season, so this explains his early season struggles and yesterdays awkward fall aggravated the injury. He will be examined by a doctor tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury, but its safe to say he won't be back before Friday's game against the Rangers.

This injury is totally out of the blue especially at a time like this, but Parise being the warrior that he is decided to play through it. Parise hopes he will not miss significant time, but I think it will be at least a month as a few weeks rest will likely be needed. The Devils will not practice today and it is not yet known whether anyone was called up from Albany. Tim Sestito is likely to be inserted back into the line-up.
