John MacLean finally showed up as a Head Coach int he league by sending his team off early in the morning skate at HSBC Arena in Buffalo where the Devils will face the Sabre tonight with 16 skaters. A bad pass by star winger Zach Parise triggered the anger and MacLean used profane language on the team and send a message which hopefully will translate in the game tonight. He called his team casual and other terms I cannot describe.
Notes: The Devils will have Adam Mair in line-up tonight and will dress 16 skaters. Volchenkov is still day-to-day and is unlikely to return to line-up until next Thursday at Montreal. They have not received any updates on Brian Rolston's groin exam, but it seems that he has a sports hernia and will need surgery which will sideline him 4-6 weeks and eligible for LTIR, and that could open the door for Devils to possibly call up Mattias Tedenby, Jacob Josefson, or Adam Henrique to have the full four lines. SO we shall see, but it looks like the Devils are slowly on their way to fixing their cap issues.
