Devils must regroup tomorrow night in Washington

It seems like every Devils season gets on track on the road, which is what happened last year when the Devils started out 9-0 on the road and only 1-3 at home. In fact every time the Devils travel to Washington, there is a lot of buzz about the match up primarily due to Alexander Ovechkin. The Devils had one of their best games of the year last season in Washington in a shootout win. It was their 5th game of the year and they trailed 2-0 before rallying back and tightening up defensively. It will be tough for them tomorrow night, but the Devils must find a way to win.

It looks like Martin Brodeur will start again as expected and probably will do so again on Monday against Pittsburgh at Prudential Center. Remember it is a 4 PM start due to Columbus Day, so some college students are screwed like me as there is class on the day. But getting back to Washington, both teams will need to regroup after poor starts. The Devils were lucky sort off to get out of the game with a point tonight, but they need to give a complete team effort and the other lines got to get it going other that the Kovalchuk unit. It looks like they might need another forward as the 11 forward, 7 defensemen did not work too well tonight. So, its possible someone will be called up or that Adam Mair will be signed, but the Devils need to trade someone in order to do so. Should be an interesting night in Washington tomorrow.
