Zach Parise will be out indefinitely with a knee injury and will undergo arthroscopic surgery on it to determine what is bothering him. There is no timetable for his return and it will be determined after his surgery. Parise suffered the injury while training for the upcoming season back in August, but aggravated it on Saturday night in Los Angeles. The MRI showed no cartilage or ligament damage, so it might not be more than 3-6 weeks.
Center Jacob Josefson will miss 6-8 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a torn thumb ligament on his right hand. Tough break for the Devils with Parise and Josefson. There were no call-ups today for Vancouver as Sestito will return to the Devils lineup.
Defenseman Anton Volchenkov actually practiced with the Devils minor league team in Albany on a conditioning stint. He will not play tonight in Vancouver or Wednesday in Chicago, but could be available for Friday at home against the Rangers. Volchenkov will be a big boost to the Devils struggling defense when he returns. Matt Corrente remains day-to-day, so he is probable for Friday.

Brian Rolston continues to skate and will return in a few weeks.
Defenseman Anssi Salmela (torn ACL and Meniscus) started to skate, but there was no update on Bryce Salvador (concussion), so he is still out indefinitely and remains on LTIR.
