After being shutout for a 3rd time in 6 games on Monday night against the Bruins, the Devils must now play with tremendous acts of desperation. They can start against an up and down Toronto team tomorrow night at Air Canada Centre. It will be the middle game of a three game road trip for the Devils as they conclude it in St. Louis on Saturday night.
These next two games will could very well be John MacLean's final games as Devils coach if they lose both or even one. Lou Lamoriello will evaluate the team after the game in St. Louis, but many around the organization feel that MacLean will stay on as coach for at least this season. Some fans on twitter have been calling for MacLean to get fired, but again it is all up to Lou what he feels is best for the team going forward.
Jason Arnott did not practice today as he attended the funeral for former NHL defenseman Luke Richardson's daughter. He will meet up with the team in Toronto and play tomorrow night.
