Number of days off between games will not factor whether Lou fires MacLean or Not or makes a trade

Many of you might think that 3 days off in between games might be appropriate for Lou Lamoriello to make a coaching change. It is very smart to fire a coach in a situation like this, but in Lou's world things are run different. Which means, he can fire a coach before a morning skate or the day before. Now it is probably evident that MacLean will likely coach out the season, it is a possibility that he could get fired should the Devils lose to Phoenix. The Devils have been booed constantly in the past few games at "The Rock" but it still has not reached up to Lou.

Lou will get things done at random times. After all, when he traded for Kovalchuk last year, Kovy only had a morning skate to prepare for his Devils debut. It says the same for the coach. So, many of you should not use the three days off or even a week off for a window to make a coaching change. Even though it makes sense in reality to do so with as many days off, it is not in Lou's definition. Simply put, the Devils can lose to the Predators on Friday and MacLean could get fired Saturday morning hypothetically speaking. MacLean is still on life support as Devils coach and whether he gets fired today, tonight or in the near future, the number of days off between will not factor into Lou's decision. It is the timing, even though its way too late now, but for the sake of making Devils fans somewhat happy, a coaching change may be necessary.
