Lou Lamoriello continues "Status Quo" Nonsense, season is lost on his part

We can all accept that the Devils will not be making the playoffs this season, but if they want to start winning or salvaging their season, they will likely have to do it with their current roster and coaching staff. It seems that nothing has changed with Lou from last weeks stance on staying the course. Lamoriello today reaffirmed his status quo philosophy and said that the focus is on Phoenix, which is understandable, but again this team is in a crisis and MacLean is a terrible coach, so something has to give.

It seems that Lou wants to wait til the team gets healthy meaning when Parise returns before he make his move. By then the team will already be out of playoff contention for sure, now that they are not already at this current moment. But, Lou Lamoriello along with Darcy Regier of Buffalo are the most conservative GM's in all of hockey. Today's news has definitely proved that Lou Lamoriello has given up on the year. But, to continue staying the course will not work with this team. A coaching change would have at least sent a message, but he is not preaching accountability with his Status Quo BS.

It seems as if defenseman Anssi Salmela might play Wednesday against Phoenix and make his return from a knee injury. Matt Corrente and Alexander Vasyunov were assigned to Albany.
