Canucks show no signs of fatigue after epic 7 game series vs Chicago, shutout Nashville 1-0 in Game 1

You would thing after an emotional Game 7 victory less than 48 hours before Game 1 vs Nashville would cause fatigue and a letdown, it sure did not look like it last night. The Canucks came out flying against Nashville and full credit to coach Alain Vigneault. Vigneault probably calmed team down after emotional Game 7 in Round 1. Instead, the Game was a case of rest vs rust. The Predators had 4 days off while the Canucks picked up where they left off. Luongo made 20 saves in the 1-0 shutout. Chris Higgins scored the lone goal of the game.

Higgins was a deadline acquisition by GM Mike Gillis from Florida. Former Higgins Habs teammate Maxim Lapierre assisted on the goal. Game 2 is this Saturday evening at the same time before shifting the Nashville. Tonight is Capitals vs Lightning and Sharks-Red Wings.
