Canucks getting closer to getting monkey of their back

The Canucks could be thinking sweep tomorrow night in Chicago and finally exorcising their playoff demons. Chicago has eliminated the Canucks from the playoffs the past two years, but Vancouver took a commanding 3-0 lead against the Blackhawks last night with a 3-2 victory on the road in Chicago. The Red Wings were the last Defending Stanley Cup Champion to be swept out of the playoffs in Round 1 in 2003 after winning the cup in 2002. The Hawks will certainly look to prevent it from happening, but it was a statement win last night.

Elsewhere, Carey Price continues to shine in the playoffs as the Habs are heading home up 2-0 against the heavily favored Bruins. The Capitals dropped a close one against the Rangers yesterday 3-2, but still hold a 2-1 series lead. Nashville leads Anaheim 2 games to 1 as well. The Sharks and Kings head to Los Angeles all knotted up at 1 game a piece and so is Tampa and Pittsburgh heading to Florida along with Buffalo and Philadelphia.
