Game 7 was a classic in the Vancouver-Chicago series and probably a more classic ending. The Canucks had a 1-0 lead all the way down to the end of the the 3rd, when Hawks captain Jonathan Toews used his will power to score a short-handed goal with under 2 minutes left in regulation to send the game into overtime. Yes, a short-handed goal late in the game. Corey Crawford though was the 1st star of the game as he kept the Hawks in the game.
However, the Hawks comeback fell short after Alexander Burrows redeemed himself from a missed penalty shot and an early penalty in overtime with a slapper to win the series for the Canucks. So, as I said this series was a classic, but I think this win for Vancouver gives them full shades of confidence they would need to go further into the playoffs, but it was a huge scare. Roberto Luongo also stood tall for Vancouver after a shaky Games 4 and 5. Luongo made a game and series saving stop on Patrick Sharp on the Hawks power play in OT.
