R.I.P 2010-2011 New Jersey Devils: Struggling Devils beat Struggling Senators 2-1, minority of Devils for sale

The sort of red hot Devils are the latest team to add to the Senators woes beating them 2-1 in what could have been a lop-sided game. The Devils out-shot the Sens 33-16, but the score was only 201, which shows you why these two teams are at the bottom of the NHL circuit. Dainius Zubrus and Nick Palmieri scored for the Devils and Alex Kovalev for the Sens.

The big star of the game was Senators goaltender Robin Lehner of Sweden, who saved 31 of 33. Ottawa only had a good effort midway through the 3rd period, but the Devils managed to survive the onslaught and score minutes later by Zubrus. There was a small crowd at the Arena tonight due to the ice and rain.

As many of you know the minority stake of the Devils is for sale, not Jeffrey Vanderbeek's portion. The Devils will remain in New Jersey and no-one should panic. Colin White returned to the line-up and Fayne, Urbom and Tedenby were scratches.
