Defenseman Henrik Tallinder told reporters yesterday before the game against the Thrashers yesterday that the Devils are playing for pride. Yesterday, they did just that with the playoffs out of question. Tonight the Devils will look for only their 2nd two game win streak of the season as they take on the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh, NC.
Martin Brodeur will look for to regain his confidence tonight as he starts in goal likely against Cam Ward. The Devils will again be without Colin White due to a flu and Fayne will remain in the lineup. Nick Palmieri was not sent back to Albany in a last second decision and instead made the trip to Raleigh. It is not known whether he will play, but it seems he will fill in for Tim Sestito who was slightly shaken up yesterday against Atlanta.
